Day 67 – Massive Mothers Group!

Although I’m now working 5 days per week, today I had the day off as Miss E doesn’t have a spot at daycare on Thursdays until next week onwards.

So I was able to join my friends for mums & bubs group, and we had a lovely time! There was a big turn-out today: 6 friends & 8 children (7 girls & 1 boy). It was great! Now I wish we had gotten a photo of all the toddlers (6 of them) all together.

Mothers Group is a red flag event for me, and I wasn’t organised at all today. I didn’t have any snacks prepared. In the end I had a handful of wholegrain rice crackers, 2 mini quiches, 2 crackers w cheese, and 5 paleo zuchinii fritters, and 2 peppermint teas. Not tooooo bad.

Bad is the 2 Subway cookies I inhaled late in the evening 😦

*sigh*  I wasn’t very good at riding the emotions this time…

Tomorrow – Friday. No plans for exercise yet, just a full day at work, and then try to get to bed early.

Day 52 – Shattered

<<Hi…. yep it’s been a while huh. But. I’m back, and determined to continue this journey. I have a stack of draft posts that I’ll publish today. So much has happened. I’ve missed you!!!!!>>

I’ve been having so many late nights this week, it caught up with me today and I was shattered.

After catching up on the zzz’s I was able to get to a local cake store for some cakey items I needed.

I grabbed Subway (again) for lunch, as I was short on time – due to cake duty. And totally forgot to take a photo, whoops!

I could say that I needed to ‘taste test’ my ganache… but it wouldn’t be truthful. I think I chose to have some to try to stay awake. Either way I’m in dangerous territory….

Tomorrow – Thursday. We’re going to a local High Tea event (red flag alert!). My plan is to take a punnet of strawberries, and order a coffee. I’ll buy a ticket, so I can get some sandwiches for Miss E. This usually gets me through. Then home to work on the cake. I had hoped to have it finished last night, but (as usual) I’ve under-estimated the time required to decorate.

Day 50 – Cake Central

No pump today 😦 I missed the class for the first time, after 6 weeks in a row. I made the decision not to go because of my workload to get my next cake finished. I planned an evening of baking, preparing ganache & molding rice bubble treats, but Miss E woke and was unconsolable unless Mummy was holding her. So I didn’t get much done in the end.

Tomorrow – Tuesday. Work, and then dinner and then more cakey stuff! I’m attempting a few new techniques, so it’s a learning process 🙂

After doing a sneaky peek weigh-in this morning, I’m now 200g away from achieving my new goal!!! Will I get there by Wednesday morning?

Day 48 – Routine Saturday

Saturdays just go too fast in my book! We had a late breakfast, Mr S did some grocery shopping, and I continued working on our budget. This has become a priority due to an important decision we need to make very soon.

Greek Lamb Salad. This is delicious, though I was a bit over-excited about the lamb. There may be a bit too much. Love the combination of the lamb, fetta, figs & asparagus!

Tomorrow – Sunday. I’m going to a Norwex demonstration at a friend’s place. Haven’t seen Norwex before, so keen to hear about their products.

Day 47 – Home Sweet Home

Today was a quiet one at home. Did some washing, played with Miss E, love these days!

Had a few extras today that I couldn’t figure out the calories for.. Whoops!

Tomorrow – Saturday. I intend to work more on our budget. We use YNAB (the BEST budgeting software EVER!), the trouble is that haven’t been keeping it up to date. However they are releasing a new version soon, which has cloud sync!!! So it will be HEAPS easier to maintain, and I can’t wait!! Once the budget is current, we’ll install the new version and get it all running nicely, and then we can make some better-informed decisions.

Day 46 – Mothers Group

I was completely unorganised for Mothers’ Group, and couldn’t find my notes on the healthy snacks I wanted. I ended up racing to the shops to grab supplies, and served a plate of strawberries & bananas, some orange poppyseed cake, some bbq crackers, and a pack of lamingtons.

I didn’t get to RPM. We have a major lifestyle decision coming up, and I have to focus some time on assessing our finances and bringing them up-to-date.

Day 43 – Surfing emotions

<< ARRGH!! I have a week’s worth of updates to catch up on! Sometimes life gets so busy, my plate gets too full and blogging falls out of my scope of ability. But I have missed it, and have felt disorganised and not as accountable. I’m still going strong, and do intend to catch up ASAP!! So some of the next few updates might be short & sweet while I catch up, but I will be back to regular programming soon!>>

Today after work I was so tired, and started debating with myself whether to do Pump or not…. (warning, warning!!!!)

We have a rental inspection this week, and I’ve been exercising and working so much, the housework has been neglected. As a result I have a lot of work to do, in a very short space of time. Mr S gave me some encouragement to do the class, and I knew that I would be glad I did it, and regretful if I didn’t. So I JFDI’d, got dressed, and did it.

When I arrived the class was packed, and I had to find a spot to squeeze in. The thought did cross my mind to turn around and go home again, but I quickly dismissed it. It felt good to have done it even when I didn’t feel like it.

I’m going through some personal stuff at the moment, which just made me feel like flopping onto the couch in a sulk and eating chocolate. I even eyed off the chocolate fundraising box at work.. didn’t have any, but I looked semi-longingly!

But I remember Mish’s advice and recognise that these are just emotions, and they will come and go. I ride this wave of sad feelings, and I know that new feelings will come by soon enough.

<<So while I do record all my food intake in detail each day, I can’t for the life of me find my notes for this day. I think I may have accidentally deleted them. So while there are conspicuous gaps in my food diary, I promise I was eating clean!!!>>
